About Us
Richard A. Johnson is the principal at Richnet Consulting, a senior business development executive with extensive experience in fundraising, development, relationship building, strategic planning, and marketing. Richard has recently served lengthy stints with a regional PBS affiliate as the Vice President of Development and over ten years with AOL Time/Warner, covering the Southeast in a senior business development role. His most recent regional roles required that he manage and maintain business and development relationships while developing long-term strategic solutions with local, regional, and influential decision-makers throughout the community. Additionally, he assists clients in identifying trends on a regional basis while gleaning information on economic and workforce development and maintaining a comprehensive marketing and event calendar. A Leadership Chattanooga and Holmberg Leadership Institute graduate, Richard is the Past President of the UTC Alumni Board and UC Foundation Trustee, A current Board Member of The Association of Fundraising Professionals, as well as a member and officer of the Downtown Chattanooga Rotary Club and a Venture Forward Affiliate Business Member. He is a founding Board Member and officer of the Non-Profit Resource Center. He serves on the board of The City's Sports Authority Board and is an adjunct faculty member and presenter at various local colleges and community organizations. Richard has an undergraduate degree in communications from UTC and an MBA.
